On August 30, 2022, four 750m3 LNG fuel tanks from Zhangjiagang FURUI CIT Co., Ltd. were officially delivered and set off to Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. The four newly designed LNG tanks will provide clean energy for Royal Caribbean's “Utopia of the Seas”, the world's largest luxury cruise ship. The Wartsila 46TS-DF dual-fuel engines will provide a powerful boost while reducing carbon emissions by 25%. This is once again self-transcendence of FURUI CIT after the MSC "Europa" project.

The successful delivery of the 750m3 LNG fuel tank marks a new peak in FURUI CIT technical strength and manufacturing process. Its newly designed gas supply and management unit achieves more functions while reducing its size. Both system integration and pipeline complexity reach the highest level in the industry, which is the result of the joint efforts of the technical team and the manufacturing team! Especially at present, the international situation is volatile, the epidemic is under normal control, the supply chain is tight, and the heat is the worst in a century. The first MSC world-class luxury cruise ship: MSC World Europa

In August 2020, FURUI team delivered two 2,320m3 LNG fuel tanks, making the 205,700 GT “MSC Europa” the largest LNG-powered luxury cruise ship to date. Two years later, the delivery of four 750m3 meters LNG-powered fuel tanks will help Royal Caribbean's “Utopia of the Seas”, with more than 230,000 GT, surpass “MSC Europa” to become the world's largest LNG-powered luxury cruise ship.

Royal Caribbean Oasis Class Luxury Cruise Series 1: "Utopia of the Seas"

Utopia of the Seas is the sixth ship in Royal Caribbean's Oasis-class luxury line, which has been the world's largest luxury liner for 13 years since the first Oasis was delivered in 2009. The LNG-powered "Utopia of the Seas" will extend the title of "world's largest" of the Oasis class luxury cruise to LNG-powered luxury cruise lines.
