Project background:
With the continuous global exploration of clean energy technologies, liquefied air energy storage, as a new, green and efficient energy storage method, is attracting more and more attention and investment from countries. In 2024, Japan launched its first liquefied air energy storage commercial demonstration project, which was led by Sumitomo Group and aims to promote the application and demonstration of new energy storage technologies in East Asia.

Furui CIT' role:
As a world-leading manufacturer of cryogenic storage and transportation equipment, Furui CIT successfully won the bid for this project with its deep technical accumulation and rich experience in the design and manufacturing of liquefied air storage tanks, and is responsible for providing 5 core energy storage equipment - liquefied air storage tanks. This project is also the first time that Furui Deep Cold has provided products for an overseas liquefied air energy storage commercial demonstration project, which is an important milestone.

Technical highlights:
The storage tank adopts the advanced low-temperature insulation structure independently developed by Furui, which ensures the minimum heat loss of liquefied air during storage;

The product design fully considers the special environmental requirements such as the Japanese earthquake and has high seismic resistance;

All equipment is manufactured in accordance with international standards and has passed a number of quality inspections and performance tests to ensure the stable operation of the project.
