African Natural Gas Power Plant-Regasification Station Project
The discovery and development of new gas fields in Africa has made Africa a major supplier of natural gas. Nigeria, for example, with 5.3 trillion cubic meters of gas reserves and growing investment in gas production, is becoming one of the largest LNG suppliers in the Middle East after Qatar.
According to statistics, in sub-Saharan Africa, only 24% of Africans have the access to electricity, and Africa's energy production capacity is only 28 GW. The development of liquefied natural gas in Africa has brought new hope to Africa, which is at a critical moment in the energy crisis. With the financial support of the Belt and Road Initiative, more and more natural gas power station projects have been launched in Africa.
In 2017, our company provided a set of gasification station equipment supporting the power plant to Asogli Power Plant in Ghana, and the gasification capacity reached 55,000 standard cubic meters per hour. The supporting projects of the power plant put forward extremely stringent requirements on our project design, and our equipment must be able to operate continuously 24 hours a day. We fully consider the redundant design to provide the power plant with continuous and stable energy output.
